With the arrival of three more men who have been selected the Auckland division of the sixth contingent is practically complete. APPOINTMENT OF NON-COMMIS-SIONED OFFICERS. (Per United Press Association.! WELLINGTON, January 16. The following provincial appointments of non-commissioned officers in the sixth contingent have been made: — Quartermastersergeant, Colour-sergeant Mitchell (Wellington) ; medical staff orderly, Trooper A. Saunders (Christcliurch). No. 17 Company: Sergeant-major, J. W. Malcolm (Nelson); farrier-sergeant, G. W. Shaw; sergeants— B. Turner (Wellington), S. W. Freeman (Otalci), Sydney Smith (New Plymouth), J. Irwin (New Plymouth); corporals— W. A. Nathan (Wanganui)), A. S. Johnson (Levin), A. E. Urwin (Wellington), G. H. Stubhs (Wellington); bugler, N. A. M'Lean (Napier). No. 18 Company: Sergeantmajor, S. H. W. Crawford'(Wellington); farrier-sergeant, E. L. Quintal (Wellington); sergeants—P. A. De Loree (New Plymouth), E. Beardmore (Nelson), J. M'Goldriok (Napier), J. H. Leslie (Gishorue); corporals—J. Jickcli (Nelson). A. Kitney (Wellington), M. Sullivan (Wellington), A. W. M'Millan (Wellington)"; bugler, C. S. Girdlestone (Wellington). No 19 Company (Canterbury): Farriersergeant, G. Rouse; K. Jackson (second contingent), G. W. L. M'Hertens, R G. Smith, P. P. Shand; corporals—B. L. Hodgson, L. Cabot, A. M. M'lnlosh; bugler, C. T. Flyger. No. 20 Company (Otago): Sergeant-major, H. W. Smith; farrier-sergeant, W. J. Crosier; sergeants—H. Cmtmin, K. F. Williams, J. L. Taylor, W. Lorrisan; corporal, A. H. Jones; bugler, G. Collins. The promotions of lance-corporals from the ranks will be made later on, according to qualifications.
Amongst the. passengers by tlio Mnana to-day from Sydney were Sergeant Le-st-rangc, Corporal Shepherd, and Trooper Smythe, of the first contingent, who came over to return to the front with:the sixth contingent. Corporal Jones, of the second contingent also returned invalided.
