SCHOOL VACATIONS.
ST. PHILOMENA'S HIGH SCHOOL.
The distribution' of prizes to the pupils of St. Plrilomena's High School Convent of Mercy, Mouth Dunedin. took place last Tuesday afternoon. The Highl Rev. Dr Verdon presided, and the Key. leather Coftey was also present. The distribution was preceded by a short entertainment consisting 01 instrumental selections, recitations, and choruses, at the conclusion of which the iiishuji congratulated tlie children on (heir success dur- ' ing.the year, and wished them a happy Christmas anil pleasant holidays.
