WHEREAS by. and under (he provisions oi* "The Education Act, 1£77," the Education Board of a district has power to promote tha establishment of school districts, and to define the limits thereof; and has power also to al'.er such limits and to divide any schooi district into two or more school districts, or paits of such districts.into one; and wnereas it is' expedient to promote the establishment of ihe school district of Tokarahi, the Education Board of the District of Otago doth hereby resolve to establish the school district of TokaTahi, and the same is hereby established, with the limits and boundaries hereinafter appearing—that is to say: — TOKARAHI SCHOOL DISTRICT Comprises all Block VIII, Maerewhenua Survey District, and all that area in Clock VII, same district, bounded on the west by section 7, .Block IX, Maerewhenua Survey District; thence in a north-easterly direction by the Main road from Duntroon to Livingstone to a point on that road due west' of the southern L.---i.idary of Section 16, Block VII, Maerev.henua Survey District; thence on the north by a .straight line to the south-western corner of. said Section 16; thence by. said Section 16 and by Section 4, Block VII,. All that area bounded towards the north by a straight line commencing at a point on the boundary line between the Domet- and MaeTewhenua Survey Districts, due west by trig station H, thence by said line through said trig station H and Blocks XIV, XI, and VI, Maerewhenua Survey District, to the boundary line between Sections 26 and 27 of said Block VI, and by said line to the eastern side of the Maerewhenua "River; towards the north-west by said river- to Section 9, Block VI, Maerewhenua Survey District; on the north by said Section 9, Block VI; on the east by part of Section 2 and Sections 10, 20, and 19, Block 111, Maerewhenua Survey District, Section 5, Block 11, same district, and by part of Section 8, Block VII, same district to the north-eastern corner of section 7, Block VII, same district; on the south by the southern boundary of Sections 4 and 16, Block VII, same district, to the Main road from Duntroon to Livingstone; on the west by the said Main road to a point due west of the north-western corner of Section 5, Block VII, Maerewhenua Survey District; thence on the south by a line produced due west from that point to trig station X; and on the west by the Domet Survey District. LIVINGSTONE SCHOOL DISTRICT. All that area bounded towards the north by a straight line commenping at a point on the boundary line between the Domet and Maerewhenua Survey Districts, due west of trig station X, thence by said line through said trig station and Blocks XIV, X, and part of VII, Maerewhenua Survey District, to a point on the Main road from Duntroon to Livingstone due west of the north-western corner of Section 5, Block VII, Maerewhenua Survey District; thence in a south-westerly direction by the said Main Toad to the boundary between Blocks VII and IX, same district; thence on the east by part of Block VII and by Block VII, same district; on the south by Kakanui Survey District; and on:the west by the Domet Survey District to the starting point. ISLAND CLIFF SCHOOL DISTRICT Comprises all that area bounded on the north by a line commencing at trig station AA, and following the northern boundary of Block 11, Maerewhenua Survey District, to the north-" eastern corner of Section 5, said Block II; on the east by Section 6, said Block 11, again on the north by said Section 6; on the east and south generally by part of Block VI, Awamoko Survey District,'and Sections 16 and 12, Block 11, Maerewhenua Survey District, and Sections 43, 6, 23, 25, 24, 2S, 10, and 11, Block I, Maerewhenua Survey District; on the south by Kauroo Survey District; on the west by Block VIII, Maerewhenua Survey District, and Sections 18, 6, 7, 4, and 14, Block VII, Maerewhenua Survey District. ARTHUR STREET SCHOOL DISTRICT Comprises all that area bounded by a line commencing at a point in line with Graham street, being the junction of Serpentine avenue and Maclaggan street; thence by Serpentine avenue to its junction with the road through Victoria Park; thence by that road to its junction with the Main Belt road; thence by a straight line to the Town Belt; on the west and north-west by the Town Belt to a point in line with the right-of-way between Sections 43 and 44, Block XIX, City of Dunedin; thence by that right-of-way to Royal terrace; thence by Royal terrace and Argyle street to Heriot row; thence by Constitution street to London street; thence by PiUeul street to Hanover street, and by Hanover street to George street; thence by George street to St. Andrew street; thence on the north by St. Andrew street to the harbour; thence by the harbour to Rattray street, and on the south and southeast by Rattray street and Maclaggan street to the starting point—excepting Sections 30 and 31 and parts 29 and 34, Block XVII, being site of Normal School. HIGH STREET SCHOOL DISTRICT Comprises all that area in the City of Dunedin, bounded by the Town Belt from its junction with the Main South road at Carisbrook; thence on the south-west by the Town Belt to a point in line with the road through Victoria Park; thence on the north by that road to its junction with Serpentine avenue; thence in a ndrth-easteriy direction by Serpentine avenue and Maclaggan street to Rattray street; thence on the north by Rattray street to the harbour; thencs in a southerly direction by tho city boundary to the starting point. UNION STREET SCHOOL DISTRICT Comprises all that area bounded towards the north-east by the extension of Regent road from the city boundary to Section 1, Block XXXII; thence along the north-western boundaries of Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 of the'said Block; thence by right-of-way, Queen street, Regent road, and St..David street; towards the southeast by Castle.street; towards the south by St. Andrew street; towards . the' east by George street; thence by Hanover street to Filleul street; thence by Filleul street, Constitution street, Argylel street, and Royal terrace to a right-of-way between Sections 43 and 44, Block XIX, City:of Dunedin; thence by a straight line to the'city boundary; thence on the northwest by the city boundary to the starting point.
