SALE OF PRIVILEGES.
Messrs James Samson and Co. offered for sale by auction, yesterday, the booths and privileges in connection with the forthcoming Caledonian Society's annual gathering. The prices realised were as follows:—No. 1 booth, Mr Sievwright (as agent), £41; No. 2 booth, Mr Bnnsgrove. £36; marquee and canteen, Miss Day, £17; luncheon booth. Mrs Owld, £16 16s; fruit and confectionery, Mr C. Bills, £7 10s; — total, £120 ss. Last year the total amount realised by the sale was £135. After the sale of the privileges fo. the Caledonian Society's gathering, the sole right to sell liquor on the Caledonian grounds e.t the cycling" sports on the 20th of January was sold to Mi Stenhou.ee for JSS.
