M'ADOO JUBILEE SINGERS.

To-night the M'Adoo Jubilee Singers will open in the Princess Theatre. The artists comprising this talented combination are said to be individually highly talented and collectively as sterling a band of melody-makers as have for a long lime appeared in any town in this colony. Their repertoire is varied and bright, and ill presenting what they have to offer they have a knack of imparting their own zest and enjoyment into it. A feature of the entertainment will be the kinematographic representation of the famous " Passion Play," as performed at Ober-Auunergau, and this in itself will bo well worth seeing, as may be judged from the following, which we clip from the New Zealand Herald :'—" This created an impression that can only bo described ns intense. As the history of the" Saviour's life and death was depicted upon. the screen scarce one of those present but felt a real and continuous thrill of emotion. It was so intensely real, so intensely pathetic, and withal so free from any frivolous or irreverent suggestions, that the keenest stickler for a, delicate handling of the sacred theme must have been disarmed. Of the series of living pictures shown none were short of remarkable, thoße which appealed most to the audience being perhaps 'The Flight into Egypt,' 'Raising of Lazarus,' 'The Last Supper,' Judas's Betrayal,' 'Way of the Cross,' ' Christ Before Pilate,' ' The Crucifixion,' ' Taking Down from the Cross,' and ' The Resurrection/"
