The Hanover street Baptist Church' Mutual Improvement Society had an " Evening With Longfellow" on the date of their last meeting. Mr Williams (vice-president) read an interesting sketch of the life of the poet, and.-.com-uiented upon his works. Several,-well chosen selections weM .also, read, and. heartily ..appreciated. Woodward in the Kew Primitive Methodist Church on Tuesday .night. .The /building was crowded. The views depicted various incidents in tho present Btrugglo.- A collection was taken up in" aid of tho Home Mission funds, and the singing of ihe National Anthem brought an enjoyable evening.to-a close.
