ALHAMBRA THEATRE.
The Alhambra Theatre was crowded to excess on Saturday evening, the usual weekly change of programme meeting with great siiccess. Mr Chas. Faning was aa original and comical as ever. Ins son^s and jokes, and the finale " The Bush Whackers' Contingent" being greeted with laughter and applause. Miss Georgie Devoe lent able assistance to Mr Faning in a patter duet entitled
" Lightning Results," and also sang » coon song, "Shake up this town," for which she received an encore. Mr Ted Herberte
greatly pleased the audience in his descriptive songs "O. H, M. S." and "As in a lookingglass," and Mr Fred Norris caused amusement with his burlesque skating act. The luahers were, trebly encored for their clever dancing and singing, Mr Aubrey Douglas made an efficient end mail, and Miss "Rose Belmont appeared for ihc last time, fo-nieht Miss Katie Lynn (a soprano singer) and Mr James Dnscoll \n wire-walker) will appear. Mr Fuller has mads arrangement's for the exhibition ot some animated photographs of the Boer war, and these will be shown shortly m conjunction with the Bijou Company.
