TO THE EDITOIt. Sic, —An error occurs in my letter as published in to-day's issue where I am made to say that spirits arc colder in winter than the atmosphere. The reverse is, of course, the case, and this accentuates tho importance of the facts stated—viz., that tho publicly recorded temperature of Dunedin for the past two months has been from two to seven degrees •warmer than that of spirits on the Dunedin wharf.—l am, etc.,
