SACKED CONCERTS.

Two sacred concerts were given by the SteelePayne Bellringers at the Agricultural Hall yesterday. They took place in the afternoon and the evening, and on each occasion there was a good attendance, especially in the evening. The 'same programme was presented on eacli occasion, and the manner in which it was gone through left nothing whatever to be desired. Four selections were given on the, bells by the company. Miss Lizzie Payne played Home, sweet homo" as a violin solo, and also played a selection on the bells. Mr Walter Rivers sang "Consider the lilies" and "Calvary" (the latter as an encore) and recited "The Stowaway." Mr J. Williams sang '* Rocked in the cradle of the deep," and, as an encore, "The last muster." Miss Kate Maher sang " Sunshine and rain," and " Hosanna in Excelsis " was rendered by Miss Gertie Bromley, who also gave a selection on the glassophono, while a trio for mandolins and banjo was played by three members of the company, for which they were deservedly encored.
