TO-NIGHT'S PUBLIC MEETING.

It should be unnecessary to remind our readers of the public meeting which has been called for this evening by his Worship the Mayor to consider the question of a further patriotic movement. The meeting will be held in the Town Hall at 8 oclock, and the subjects set down are: — 1. The advisability of Otago joining in the movement for sending a third contingent to South Africa. 2. The best means of augmenting the fund for providing remounts for the isew Zealand contingents. 3. The best means of augmenting the More Horses" fund for Imperial and other purposes.
