TO THE KDITOIt. Sißr-yl simply write to contradict " Standard V," whoso letter appeared in the Times of the 29th November, it is true that the Premier said we were all tidy-looking and intelligent, but the other part is false. He said we did not know what great sacrifices our parents were^ making to give us a good education, which, he said, would be very useful in our after life. He asked us how old the Princo of Wales was, and as none of us could answer, he told us he was asking a question he could not answer himself. He said that when he visited schools he generally made it a point to see the-ohairman of the committee and ask a holiday for the children.—l am, etc., ' Standard VI.
