"A Wellington telegram states that The Archer and Pastime have been scratched for all engagements at the AVellington Racing Club's Autumn, meeting. The Auckland Racing Club made a profit of about £500, on! the Autumn meeting. At a meeting of the executive of the League of New' Zealand* Wheelmen the Dunedin consul reported upon a dispute arising out of the last Hibernian Wheel Race in Dunedin. It was decided that the two riders concerned should'be asked-lor an explanation of their action in writing to a southern journal suggesting that one of the officials had a bet on the race in question.
