CHRISTCHURCH, April 18.

Mr W. H. Montgomery.,' M.H.R. for Ellesinere, delivered a political address at Little River last night, receiving a unanimous vote of thanks and confidence. He announced, that he would stand for reelection as an Independent Liberal.

Mr R. Meredith, M.H.R., addressed his constituents at Ashley last night. His speech was mainly a defence of the administration of the Government. A vote of thanks and confidence was passed. \
