LAWN TENNIS.

The return match between the North-EaA 'Valley and Sawyers' Bay Clubs was played, last Saturday on the Valley Club's courts., A strong south-west wind was blowing, but nevertheless some good rallies took place in'many of the sets. A match took place on Saturday between the Taieri and the Otago Lawn Tennis Clubs on the latter club's ground. The home, team won rather easily by 108 games to 48. ' The visiting team have only started the game, this season, and the result only ended as was expected. However, they have some very promising members, and no doubt will be heard of next season.
