TOTE BETTING-. (Per United Press Association.) NAPIER, April 17. A. E. Eagleton, hairdresser, was to-day fined £20 and costs for laying totalisator odds. Louis Freedman, his assistant., was fined £5 for aiding and abetting. Constables Torr and Baker proved the ease. The defence was that they were liable as accomplices, and that their evidence was inadmissible without corroboration. The S.jVf. ruled against the contention, and gave certificates of indemnity to tho constables. MULTIFORM GOES TO ENGLAND. Our Ohrißtchurch correspondent telegraphs: —Mr G. G.
