The directors of the Emnire Dredging Company have declared a dividend of ls per share (making a total of 10s since commencir.~ 10 months ago). The Jutland Flat and Upper AA Taipori Companies each pays a dividend of 6d per share.
The Tuaneka Times states that the Empire Dredging Company's second dredge is likely to be in readiness to begin work at the beginning of next month. The contract for placing Ihe machinery on board has been 'et to Mr John Knewstubb. The engine and boiler (Marshall and Sons) arrived by the Kuahiue.
It is notified that the Waimumu Extended Gold Dredcing Company has acquired a freehold immediately below and adjoining the AVaimumu dredge. It has been prospected with a small dredge, and is said to he highly payable. Some 1500 shares only are left for subscription.
