| The adjourned meeting of ilie Peninsula Koad Board was held ar. Uie board's office, Highcliff, on Tuesday, and t.-rs attended by Messrs Stuart (chairman), M'O.irdy, Eowc, and' Gunn. A circular was receivo;i from the Bank of New Zealand, asking the board to .pass a resolution to borrow by way of overdraft mp to the legal limit.—A -resolution was passed accordingly. . Mr John Kobertson resigned his scat for the Sandywsount sub-division.—The clerk was instructed to publicly notify the vacancy. A letter was read from the Portobello j Hoad Board, re Bcich road.—Received. A cir- j cular w:is read trom rhe Agricultural depart- I ment,' ro dairy inspK^.ion.—Received. It was resftlved to instruct tfca surfacemen to resume ■their duties on Momisv, the 17th inst. A letter was read from liasta J. Weiper and G. . Ross, ro deviation at Sandymount, agreeing to the following terms , Culvert to be lifted and new Toad fenced, and ti.e sum of £20 to be paid for, compensation for Und taken.—lt was .rer solved to accept Messrs 'fl'eiper and Ross's offer, j Accounts for £23 lOswM were passed for payment.' . . .
