A NAUTICAL INQUIRY.

OHRISTCIIURCH, April 13.—An inquiry was held at Lyttelton to-day, into the circumstances attending the stranding of the schooner Sir Henry, at Cape Farewell, on January 11. The court found that Captain Cameron was not to blame for the accident, ond returned his certificate. During the evidence it was shown that the currents about Cape Farewell were erroneously charted.

She left Melbourne at 5 p.m. and passed through Port Phillip Heads at 8 p.m. on the sth inst., passed Swan Island at 11 p.m. on tie 6th, ami arrived at Hobart at 9 p.m. on the 7th : left asrain at 1.20 a.m. on the Bth. ami arrived at the Bluff at 5.30 p.m. on the 11th; left again af 5 p.m. on the 12th, ami arrived a.? above. She left again for Sydney, via Wellington, shortly after i o'clock yesterday afternoon. Captain Smith takes command for a trip. Captain Neville having .to stay behind in "Wellington to give evidence in a C°The C'sl Rotokino has been appointed to load at the Bluff on the 19th inst., at Oamaru on the 20th, and at Timaru on the 21st, for Auckland. . , . The s.s. Taupo, from Wes port, is due tomorrow morning, and is advertised to tail again at 5 p.m. to-morrow for Westpoit, Ma Oumaru and Timaru.

Tho s.s. Mokoia, having been delayed at Sydney, will not now arrive at her time-table date. buL is expected on the 23rd inst., one day Into. Siio will, however, keep her time, outward. She had smooth sea<i with rainy weather from Lyttelton to arrival. She came up to Dunedin shortly after noon, and was berthed at the tonguo wharf.
