WASHINGTON, April 11,

It is reported from Manila that the American troops have captured the towns of Santa. Cruz and Laguna de Bay and the surrounding district.

The scene of the-fighting is about 50 miles S.E. of Manila.

The Filipinos fought desperately in the trenches, and lost 68 killed, while many were wounded. The Filipinos captured six American wounded.
