JUBILEE SINGERS.

Mr Orpheus M'Adoo's company of Jubilee Singers repeated at the Princess Theatre last evening the programme presented on the preceding night—the opening night of the season. The weather was' anything but inviting, yet a numerous assemblage was attracted to the theatre, and in the lower portion of the

'' house" many had perforce to content themselves with standing room. As on the first night. 1-hte singing of the company was received with unmistakable tokens of pleasure, and not only was each item redemanded, but, in some cases, double encores were insisted upon. The quaint jubilee and plantation songs, so reminiscent of the fervid camp gathering and relis.'ious meeting, were rendered with the peculiarly attractive effects which form such a iralurt ojLtho simiig of the company, while the contributions liUhe secular portion of tiie programme wero equally enjoyable. The amusing performance of Mr Jerry. Mills was extended a good deal beyond the length originally intended by that gentleman through the persistence of the audience in demanding his reappearance; while the juggling of Jalvan was also highly entertaining. .

To-night there will be a complete change of programme. New jubilee melodies and plantation songs will be introduced, and. Messrs Jerry Mills and Jaban will entertain the audience with novel contributions.
