WESTPORT, January 16.

The Governor and party arrived overland from Nelson last night, and met with,a great reception this morning. The town was gaily decorated. A procession, com-prising-volunteers, friendly societies, school children, and band was formed, and an address presented. His Excellency inspected the harbour works, and then proceeded to Denniston, where another address was presented He was also entertained by the Westport Coal Company after inspecting then works. Hg will visit the Granity and .Mokihinui mine to-morrow, • and be entertained at a'banquet in Westport in the evenThe Premier is also here.
