Stdey, was appointed to arrange for a. reunion to celebrate the Jubilee year of the arrival of the pioneer vessels Blundell, Victory, and Bernicia. A sub-committee, conßistingof Dr Fulton, Messrs G C Proudfoot and Donald Reid, jun., was appointed to .collect some early history records which the committee had brought under their notice. Dr Will mentioned as a subject worthy of the association's attention the rescue of the origin of many local names, especially Maori name*, of places of local interest in Ocago. A. sub-coin, mtttee, consisting of Messrs K. N. Adorns, 1. K. Sidey und W. G. Somerville, was formed to arrange for the formation of a group collection of photographs of early settlem.- ' Minutes expressive of sympathy with the relatives of several of the pioneer ssttlers who have lately passed avray were recorded The committee had many evidences brought before them of a live interest being felt in the future of the association. Monthly meetings of committee were fixed to be held at the office of the secretary iv the second Monday of each month. The Loyal Orange Lodge, No. 21, No (Surrender, held its monthly meeting in the Trades Hall on Thursday evening. Hie W.M. (Bro.
