THE TASMANIA WRECK.

Wellington, -September 4-,

The Marine department has receivad tha following telegram from Captain Neale, of the Hicemoa, with reference to the search for the unclisrted rock an which it is snpposed the Tasmania struck:—" Have taken a line of Eoundings from the wreck to one mile off the cape, a distance of three miles and a-haif; from thence to Ormond's station from half a-uaile to one mile off the shore; from thence to the wreck again, cuttiDg several zigzag line 3 between these to shore; then taking two circles round the wreck of half a-mile and one mile ; then a line due east off the wreck for two miles and three-quarters, Tfith a neavy easterly roll on which water would have been broken-in three fathoms." The Hinemoa is to make another search for the rock. •. <
