Sib,—Having c.cen a letter in your issue of this morning re lamplighters, I would like to stats that Saiuiday, being the ih-st night after full moon, the lamps are not lit as s, general rule. Add to that the wretchsd tools with which the lamplighter 3 are provided1 and the boiiterous weather that prevailed that night, and I think that your correspondent might find somethiug else t<i write about —I am, ke , Duuedin, March 24. Tho report should have slid near tUfc fligstaffi in the Victoria Pavk, as a conspicuous position ia that park. The object of such planting being to hand down to those who shall" come after us 'a visible memorial of a most iLtn'tstiug event. — I am, &c,
