ROSLYN CLUB.

A largely-attended and enthusiastic meeting of cricket supporters was held on Monday evening in the Kaikorai Schoolroom, Mr W. C. AHnutt in the chair. The Chaiim&n briefly explained the object of the meeting—namely, the desirability and necessity of forming a cricket club in the district. Mr George Reade moved md Mr T. Sonntag seconded—" That iv the opinion of this meeting it is very desirable to form a oricket club to play on the Bitiopscourt ground." This was agreed to unanimously. It was farther resolved that the clnb be called the Koslyn Cricket Club, and the annual subscription was fixed at 15s. Mr G. Reade was elected president; Mersrs John. Fraser, Robert Chhholm, Rev. Mr Sutherland, Messrs William Wilkinnou, R. H. Bagshaw, J. C. Thomson, Sydney Smith, Louis Kemnitz, and Charles Fountain vice-presidents; Mr William Dobson, secretary and treasurer ; Mr W. C. Allnutt, captain ; comuiifcten —Messrs Charles Wilkinson. J. R*ade, J- C- Jwmsson, IS. N. Brown, and Arthnr Ellis. A sub-commit-tee, consisting of Messrs G. Reade, W. C. Allnutt, and William Dobson, were appointed to meet the directors of the Ground Company »nd make all necennary arrangements in regard to securing the ground. It w*s agreed that the club apply for affiliation to the OUgo Cricketers' Association to play »« juniors. The question of appointing a selection committee was postponed.
