The unsatisfactory results of the frozen meat trade engaged the attention of a conference of representatives of tho trade during the week. New South Wales, Victoria, aDd Queensland were represented. A scheme was approved, which will be Bent to all ths freezing conip^russ in Australia, and when replies are received a further oonference will be held for tha purpusa of finally adopting ife. The otvjecb is to form a combination to act on co-operative line."!, rtgulatiug supplies, elnsaiajj and maintaining a regular standard of meats, so es to command improved prices. It is intended not only to regulate the export from Australia, butto operate in Bueh ft way iu the English market as to guard the meat from being sacrificed when it reaches London.
