FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.

The adjourned summoned meeting of the Loyal Albion Lodge, M.U.1.0.0.F '., was ljeld at the Central Hotel on Friday evening, N.G. Bro. T. Wyatt presiding. There was a good attendance, and an official visit was received from the district officer.-). The annual balance shest was received and adopted, showing the lodge fuDds to be in a highly satisfactory condition. The following brothers were instilled for the next six months :—T. Wyatt, G.M.; Edwin Reid, N.G. ; J. llost-nbrock, V.G. ; S. Smith, E.S. ; warden, T. Driscoll; gnardian, H. Faithful!, R.S.N.G., G. H. Winter; L.S.N.G., George All<-n, jun.; R S.V.G., T. J. Anderson ; L S.V.G., James PoHands. P.O. Bro. Charles Brundell (Loyal Dunedin Lodge) and P.P.GjM. Bro. Robin (Hand and Heart Lodge) responded to the visitors' toast, aud P.G.M.Bro. Hopcraft responded t> the third toast. R»,ecipta, £9 16< 3d. ;It was resolved that the retiring. G.M., Bro. A. M'Dowell, receive an emblematical certificate, and that his name be placed, on the lodge merit board.

The half-yearly meeting of Court George Morgan (Juvenile Foresters) was held in the Linden Lodgeroom, Roslyn, last week, when the election of officers for the present term took place, and resulted as follows: — C.R., Bro. W. Paterson ; S C R., Bro. John Wilsou ; S.W., Bro. D. Cunningham ; J.W., Bro. W. Prentice; 5.8., Bro. John Sheehen; J. 8., Bro. J. O'Brien; minute secretary, Bro. G. Armit. It was reported that arrangements were being made for a railway excursion for the combined juvenile courts in the district.
