A committee hieeMng of the Otago Cycling Club, held last evening, was attsndedby Messrs j. M'Donald (in. the chair), Jay, Mubro.Mrii'r, Gibson, Mason, M'Kinlay, Moller^ Watt*. Begg, and. Hart. ThiS date of the annual^ road race t<> AVoibola was fixed for Saturday/ 25th'inst... It Was resolved to'hold a general meeting of the clnb on the sth February to appoint a treasurer and to consider the advisability of gettihg a billiard table for the club room. , Daring the evening "a presentation was. made to Mr G. Watts on the occasion of'his marriage. The presentation took' the form of an enlarged photograph, handsomely framed, of the office-bearers and committee bf the cub. Mr J. M'Ddhaldi vice-president of the clnb, in making, the presentation, alluded'to the high esteem in which Mr AVatts is' held by the members. 'Mr AVatts had basil a member of the olub ever since bis arrival in Dunedin. He had been returned oh the committee at ih. last general meeting, and was now treisuret pto tern, of the club. - At the foot of the frame the following words were inscribed :—" To B. W. G. H., AVatts, from brother cyclists of the O.C.C;, oh tho occasion of his marriage. 16/1/98." ; Mr AVatts feelingly replied, after which three ringing cheers ■ were given for Mr and Mrs AVatts.

This ground being engaged by 'lite cycling sports, the Diloediu rolled up on tho Exhibition ground, without sending word to tho University team of the change.
