CASUALTIES.
At an inquest-which was held on Friday on the body of Francis Fraser, who was found dead at Ida Valley on the 25th inst., the jury returned a verdict to the effect that the deceased came by his death by poison administered by his own hand.
The body of "William Hawkins, ttbo was drowned at Deep Stream, on Wednesday last was found oh Friday in the Taieri river by Alexander Pearnon, who h«d the body removed to the Hindon Hotel. An inquest is to be held by justices.
