Wellington, July 28.

A jroung man named Thomas M'Clusbie was admitted to the hospital about midnight suffering from serious injuries alleged to have been inflicted by a man named Henry. Kigg, who has been taken into custody. The men had a quarrel, and Rigg b*ing worsted took up some road metal, with which he felled M'Cluekie, and when on the ground a further assault was committed. M'Clufskio's condition was so serious to-day that his depositions conld not be taken.
