At tha last meeting of. the Danedin District Lodge, No. 1, whioh met in tie Trades Hall, Dowling 3treet, Bro. Paterson, D.C.T., osoupied the chair, and three candidates toot the district degcto. Bro. J. D. ScouUar, E.S., tha representative of the District Lodge at the Wellington Convention, gave a shost risumfot the worlc done by the, convention. It was resolved that a special meeting of tha District Lodge be held at Moßgiel to cocfer She district; degree upon members of the Woodsiile acd Moegicl Lodges, and chat Bro Paterßon, D.C.X., make the r.eoesaary arrangemeota. The Star of Freedom Lodge, No. S, 1.0. G.T., heid their fortnightly mealing ou Wednesday evening Bro IS Whalu. G.l'., prssided. The membors of the District, Pioneer, Morniugtou, ami Lily of tho Valley Lodges were well rspreEcntod. The lodgfi was crowded. The routi&e business bsing flniehed tho lodge went into harmony, the following contributing:— Sisters WaUs. M Risa, Wright, and Pitcher, Bros. M'Conaell, ScoulUr, Sell, Wilson, Whsls, Patwson, Thomson, Bornett, and D. Rcss. A most enjoyable evening was spent. The lodge dosed in due form at 9.4-0 p.m.
