THE WOOL SALES.

At tha wool sales an inferior selection was offered, but the sale was spirited sad prices remain unchanged. The present series close on the 30th inst., and the nest sales begin on September 24, .
Messrs Dalgety and Co. have received the following cable from their head office, dated Loi»doD, July 25:—"The fifth wries of wool sabs have been fixed to open on 24th September. The quantity of cew wool to be admitted is npt limited, and all arrivals up to the opening of (he sales will be included. The sixth series open on the 26th November. List of arrivals will b» closed on the 22nd November. The first and second series of sales for 1896 have been iixtid to open on the 14-th February and 3rd March. All wools arriving up tq the opening of (.ha first rsJos Tsill bs admitted, but list of arrivals for ihe second series close on the 3rd March."
