THE UNEMPLOYED.
TO ;TIIE EDITOU,
I_ read with pleasure your leader in tills morniDg'sissue, and fully agree with you that the Belief Committee did prong in refusing to place a portion of the money which has been subscribed:at the disposal of the Miners'Assooiation, a body which has shown itself-to be desirous of finding a: more permanent solution of the "unemployed" question t-ban that of planting flower-beds and pleasure-gardens for them to sit in and; feel hungry as soon as tbe present funds are all spent. *I have contributed my mite to the 'f unemployed " fund, and regret having done so now, as otherwise I should place iO at the disposal of the Miners' Association. I feol sure that there are hundreds more of the- same mind as myself, and am confident.that if a meeting was called the present committee would receiva overwhelming proofs that their action in this direction was entirely in opposition to the wiohes of thoee who have subscribed.—l am, &c, Cavershain, July 19
