A table published by " Fentagraph " in the Weekly Press and Referee shows that during the season racing clubs held 233 day's' racing— mauy clubs necessarily raced on t-he same days; that the added monoy was £89,569, and the totalisator investments £639,121. Including trotting, the figures read : 331- days' racing, £103,420 added money, and £712,218 the total amount put through the machine.
The Wellington Ragby Union has arranged tbe following programme .-— Wellington „and Manawatu, ar, Wellington, in August; Wellington and Canterbury, at Christchurch, on August 17 ; Wellington and Taranaki, at, Wellington, on August 24 ; Wellington and Auckland, at Wellington ; Wellington snd Hawke's Bay, at Wellington, on September 14.
A Brisbane message states that Purnell, the Sydney cyclist, broke the bour record by doing 88yds under 22 miles
Levanter is scratched for the New Zsaland Grand National Hurdles.
