VOLUNTEER UNIFORMS. TO THE EDITOR.
Sic, —l noticed in the procession on Wednesday a person on horseback in the undrasa uniform of a major of volunteers apparently acting as m&rshal-I say apparently, as he andhischargerseemed not to be on good terms. May I ask if there was a-special dispensation granted by the local defence offiaefo hhn for the occasion, or if not that it may be taken for granted in future any officer of the local forces "may put his uniform on" to attend any ceremony of the kind at bis own sweet will ?— I am, &c, June 1.. Regulation.
