Sic, —Can nothing be done to abate the nuisance caused by the vicious and disgraceful condition in which we find our principal thoroughfares from the early hours of the evening um.il the hours of morning ? In the south end of the town—especially from the post office to the Southern reserves—the footpaths in front and back of certain hotels are constantly occupied by poor unfortunate girls, plying for hire from nil and sundry. If the police authorities will remove this nuisance, I am certain thßy will merit acd receive the thanks of all lovers of law and order. —I am, &c., Paterfamilias. Caiisbrook, February 19.'
