Friday, October 12. (Before Mr E. H. Carew, S.M.) Jane Loft v. Thomas Leal (Caversham).—Claim -£2714s 3d, on a judgment summons.—Mr Solomon appeared for plaintiff, and after defendant had been examined as to his means, he was oidered to pay the amount claimed by October 31, in default six weeks'imprisonment. ..... ' Murdock Bros. v. John Gooseman'—Claim.£ls 5s b'd, on a judgment summbns.—Mr Solomon appeared for plaintiffs, and Mr Hanlon for defendant.—Defendant (who stated that he1 was a seaman) and his wife were examined at length as to their means, after which the case was dismissed. Judgment for the plaintiff, with costs, was given in each of the following' undefended cases :— Selina RustOn v. Charles Clifford (Wellington),. claim £9 ss, amount due for board and lodging (Mr Gallaway appeared for plaintiff); Murdock Bros, v.James Cruickshanks, claim £i 6s 4d, for goods supplied ; Young aud Anderson (for whom Mr Wilkinson appeared) v. Frank Loyan, claim, £3 3s 2d, for goods supplied.
