News has been received of the death in London of Mrs Pterpoint, formerly well known in Dunedin, Her daughter showed sach ability that on Herr Scherek's advico she proceeded to London and passed her examinations at tho Soyal Academy wiih much success. She then studied elocution and took to the stage, accepting an engagement in South Africa. The separation from her daughter is believed to have hastened Mrs Pierpoint's death.
