-The Premier's instructions to Inspector Hickson re the Native dispute at Paeroa, Thames, are that the Natives must be dealt with in the same way] as Europeans under the circumstances, and the utmost firmness must be shown to avert danger arising from the meeting of two bodiea of armed men between whom there is bad blood. The Government cannot permit a dispute over a gravel pit to bo the source of annoyance and anxiety to the whole countryside.
