Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. Washington, April 30. The Coxeyites seized a train in Oregon, bnt a cavalry patrol recaptured it.
A batch of 70 has bean arrested in Rhode Island as vagrants.
Another mob seizsd a train in Ohio, but the troops brought Gatling guns to bear upon them, and the captain, with his watch in hand, gave them three minutss to retire. This proved effectual, and the train was given up. There are signs that the movement is collapsing.
Owing to the distress which is making itself felt among them, the strikers are forming a huge camp in the park in the capital, and are trying to raise money by charging Bightseers for admission.
Sydney, April 30. As an outcome of the meeting of shearers, the executive of the Pastoralists' Union have been informed that if it was found the agreement required amendment tha honourable course should have been taken of asking the other party to the agreement to confer on the matter. The Shearers' Executive have determined to resist a reduction in the rates of wages.
