Every seat in tho Garrison Hall was uti-ised on Saturday night, when tbe usual,, concert ab popular prices was given. The- Payne Family ef Bellringers aud Musicians were engaged for the occasion, and the programme presented by tham mide up one. of the most enjajabie cancerts given siaeo the inauguration of "these Saturday night entertainments. The handbill scle'ecfcions "I creami I dwelt," " Wfitn other lips," and "Scents thtfc are brightest" wero loudly encored, while the ether bell selections—" The blue bolls of Scotland" (trie), "Sweet chiming bells," " Adrliua schottbehe." and "Barn da'jco"—were also favourably received. Mi=s Maude Payne was accorded au cnearc for her violin t»io, ." Life lft -. s cherish," and responded with tome a[n>i?i-;g variations of popular airs; while ' Mi»s B Ha Handrick* wa3 equally sueiassfnl ia her vi-.-lia contribution, *' The lo3v ro?e of summer." Tlii; vocal solos—"Wou'd you ba a ssiior'a w;f«"' (itissT Elfio Morello), "The old brigade" (Mr. W.J. Payne), "I may, or may not be" (Miss L'zzie Payn^i,■ aad '-The (shopwalker" (Mr K-ilph Steele) —were all well received, and iv moat insfcancas en-ores were given. The rest; of the programme, comprising part songs, ias'rv.uieutal duet?, vocal tiios and quartets, was thoroughly enji.yable, the musical glasses o" Mr: Rnlph Steele being loudly applauded.

Tho entcrfciiaaaei'.fc wai oi au enjoyable character, and that the efforts of the performers were appreciated wa3 abundantly evident from.the liberal applause that was bestowed upon them daring tho evening. Tho hand bells selections were " Ring tbe bells of Heaven," "Come to the Saviour," "Old Hundredth," '-Sweet by-aod-bye," and "Over there." Hiss Lizaie Payne sang "Ha wipes tho tear," Mr W. J. Payno " The fisherman and his child" Miss Maude Payne played as a violin eolo "Home, sweet homo," Misses Lizzie and Maude Payne violin duet " Norma," while Mr Steele played selections on his musisal glasses. Oh Friday evening a social was held in the Church ot England Schoolroom, Caversham, to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the Loyal Prince of Wales Ledge, M.U.1.0.0.F. The hall was prettily decorated, and about 57) couples danced to the music of MrW. Marr's band. Bros Clarks and Welch mtde veiy efficient; M.O.s, and the evening was thoroughly enj syed by all present.
