(Received November 22, at 11.45 a.m.) The Legislative Council bas restored the land values clause, which enables ratepayers iv municipal corporations to have assessments made on unimproved values of land. The bill has passed, subject to the Assembly's consideration of the amendments. Hobabt, November 22. (Received November 22, at 11.45 a.m.) Fourteen oufc of the 2S constituencies will be uncontested at the forthcoming election. Sydney, November 22. (Receivod November 22, at 11.30 a.m.) A bill has been introduced in the Assembly providing that the Parliament shall not bs dissolved by demise of the Crown, which is also not to affect anything done in the colony before the date of the proclamation of such demise. The only colonies thafc have so far announced tbeir intention of sending delegates to Canada are Victoria and Queensland. Owing to Parliament meeting early nexfc year, Tasmania is unable fco be represented. Melboubse, November 22. (Received November 22, at 11.30 a.m.) The Parliamentary Tariff Board are taking evidence in tbe country. There is a general concurrence among the witnesses, who are chiefly farmers, in favour of intercolonial freetrade. Ike increased freight charged on the railways, to prevent Victorian wheat going to Adelaide is referred to as an injustice that ought to be remedied.
