SALES OF PROPERTY.

Messrs E. C. Pieynolds and Co. held a sale of l>roperty at their rooms, High street; on Monday afternoon. There was a representative attendance of bidders from all parts, including Port Chalmers, and the following sales were effected:—Allotment 1, block I, St. John's Wood {shop and dwelling), L 120; sections 1 and 2, block I, Dalkeith, LSS; sections 15,10,17, and 18, block 1, Dalkeith, L 104; part of section 4, block 1, Port Chalmers, L'iOO ; section 1, block I, Purakanui, L 5 103 ; section 23, block I, Purakanui, L5; sections 15, 21, 22, and 23, Purakanui, V.iO. The following sales wore effected during tlie past week :—Allotment 2, block XLII I, township of St. Kilda, LlO5 ; section 2, block XIII, South Dunedin extension, L 135. Mr Donald Reid offered for sale by auction, at the Chamber of Commerce, on Saturday, grazing run 121 a, Stoneburn, containing 7SGO acres of leasehold, and 1170 acres of freehold land; together with 6000 sheep thereon. Only L2OOO being bid for the property, it was passed in. Sections 1 and 2, block XIII, Strath-Taieri district, containing u33 acres of freehold land, was also offered for sale, but was likewise passed in at L2 2s Gd per acre. There was no offer at all for the small grazing run known as Mount Ross, which was put up for sale together with 3000 lambs.
