•»■ At a special meeting of the Albany street School Committee, which was held last night, it was decided to nominate Messrs Isaac Green and G. Reid for election to the Education Board. The meeting was attended by Messrs Baruett (chairman), Maitland, Tooinoy, Fredric, and Shepherd. The Macandrew road School Committee have decided to vote for Messrs 11. Clark and J. J. Ramsay as members of the Education Board. At the monthly meeting of the Sawyers' Bay School Committee on Wednesday evening, it was resolved to nominate the ] lon. T. Dick and Sir J. J. Ramsay for the Education Board. The balance sheet of the picnic fund showed a credit balance of LI, and it was resolved to recommend the ingoing committee to purchase with that balance prizes for the next examination. The ordinary meeting on the Forlrary School Committee, held last night, was attended by Messrs Hancock (chairman), Davidson, Rev. W. Campbell, Johnson, and Portcous. Circulars were received from Messrs Green, M'lverrow, Neill, J. J. Ramsay, J. AV. Jago, George Reid, and A. Clark soliciting nomination and vote for election to the Education Board. Messrs George Reid and J. W. Jago were nominated. The Secretary of the Education Board wrote confirming the appointment of Mr 11. G. Whetter as head master, in accordance with the committee's recommendation. Mr Whetter forwarded his resignation as first assistant, which was accepted.
