SOUTH DUNEDIN BOROUGH COUNCIL.
The usual fortnighly meeting of the South Dunedin Borough Council, held last evening, was attended by the niayor (Mr W. Wardrop), and Crs Fiddes, Scott, Fisher, Marlow, Baker, and Osborne. The secretary of the Harbour Board wrote enclosing copy of amended regulations for the election of members to that body.—The commuuication was received. The secretary of the Reserves Conservation Society wrote enclosing a report on the sand hills submitted at a meeting of the members of society.—The correspondence was received. The Finance Committee recommended that accounts amounting to L 55 10s Id be passed for payment. The committee recommended that the dog registration fee for the incoming year be fixed at 10s. —The report was adopted. The Water Committee recommended that Mr Ogg be informed that the charge made for the special supply of water was fixed by bye-law, and no rebate could be made, and the committee was cognisant of the fact that the pri ;e was the same as that fixed by the corporation of Dunedin for hotels (one closet only) in the remotest places.—The report was adopted.
