GRAIN AND SEED REPORT. Mesira William K. Reynolds and Co., Stafford street, report for the week ending June 10 a» follows 1 —

The weather has been very boisterous during the week, and winter may be fairly said to have begun, Ploughing Is being pushed on with vigour now that the threshing -'a over, and litrga areas are being prepared for early wheat In all favomablc districts. Wheat,—This market has undergone no change for the better since last reporting; In fact, Inquiry If anything is poorer. Mllleri have fairly large stocks on hand, and manifest no inclination to purchase unlesß for prime lines »t a reduction. Growers, on the other hand, hold firmly for full rateß, oonsequently the business doing Is small. There is certainly a loaroity of prime, and anyone holding this description we cooilder Is perfectly cafe in dotpg 11,

for as the season advances supplies are bound to run short. Fowls' ffed is in very (t""<l demand, but buyers stoutly refuno to gtve latt* ratea/and business li restricted. We quote:—Prime northern Tiißcan and velvet. 4s 7d to 4a 8d ; do southern, 4s 6d to 4a 7d; ordinary, 4a 2d to 4> 6d ; inferior and fowls' feed, 3s 3d to 4s; usual terms.

Oats.—Since laat reporting the market for these bas weakened slightly, and although pricea are nominally th« s&me, buyers are not by any means to eager to eecure ai they were a week ago. Arrivals are falling off very fast, nnd this should have tha effeut ot hardening the market, but unfortunately this is not the ease. We do not, however, autfoipate auy material drop in prioei. and as spring draws near we look for a decided improvement in the tone of this market. How fur our conjectures are oorreot has yet to ba proved. Meantime wo quote prime milling, Is 6d to Is ((}d; best bright plump feed, Is 6|dto is 6d; medium. Is 4Jd to Is s}d; inferior (very hard to quit), Is Id to 1b 3d ; Backs 6d. Barley.—LlUls or no butlnesa doing in this unless for feed or milling. Maltsters are quite indifferent as to whether they secure a line or not, and certainly will not pay more than the following prloes :-Prime (Lakes grown), 2s lid to 3s 2d; ordinary, 2s 4d to 2s 8d; inferior, Is 9d to 2s—usual terms.

Chaff,—Market for this Is in a better state again, but how long it may remain so ia hard to tell. It seems strange, but nevertheless true, that with this market It Is either a " feast or a famine." To-day's prloea are :-Prime, 46s to 47s Bd; ordinary, 37s 6dto 42s 6d ; inferior, 30s to 35a per ton. Potatoes area perfect drug, and hard to dispose of even at quotations, which are ridiculously low. viz.: Prime northorna, 37s fid to 40s; other soita, 30s to 35s per ton (sacks weighed in).
