Some people think they know everything. They are willing to expound on almost everything at a moment's notice, and to give reasons for phenomena which other and wiser folks acknowledge themselves unable to fathom. These wiseacres offer solutions of the mystery of the red-glow sunsets, of the Aurora Borealis, of the connection between the soul and the body, and of fifty other things which are not revealed to the ordinary human understanding. The fact that their explanations are of no account make 3 little difference with them. They go on and t explain all the same. The source and the nature of the electro-magnetic power are things which are above human comprehension. Of the existence of this power we are well aware, and a knowledge of its use is an every-day affair. This knowledge is as yet in its infancy, and so is the application of electric force. Of late years we have learned rapidly. The telegraph is barely half a century old. The electric light was not known 15 years ago except as a costly and not very practical experiment. The telephone is a thing of yet later date, as to its public introduction. The wonderful influence of the electro-magnetic current applied to the person in Belt, Corset, ,'and Brush is yet later. A combination of hidden magnetods carries an unseen influence, and one which is not felt ,as a shock or even as a current; yet which in its quiet operation works with power and efficacy. Explain it 1 It is beyond the knowledge of man. All we know is its marvellous existence. That much we do know beyond dispute, and can prove it beyond doubt. The noted Electric curative .appliances of Dk Scott are endorsed and approved by the most eminent medical and scientific authorities in the world; by the faculties of France, England, Austria, Prussia, Belgium, and America, it being generally conceded by these authorities that electro-magnetism, in mild, continuous, and prolonged currents as applied by Db Scott's Electric Appliances, is a safe and efficient mode of treatment in the case of nervous and chronic diseases. Their electro-magnetic action begins at once as soon as the Corset, Belt, Brush, or other appliance is applied, and the beneficial effects are perceptible almost from the start—cases regarded incurable and of years' standing have yielded to this mild but wonderful electro-magnetic influence, and in no case can the application be attended with the least danger. If you have any pain, ache, or ill feeling from any cause, if you seem " pretty well," yet lack energy and do not " feel up to the mark," if you suffer from disease, we strongly advise you to at once try Dk Scott's Electric Cobsets and Belts. These remarkable curatives cannot and do

not injure like medicine—always doing good and never harm. There is no shock or sensation felfc in wearing them. There is no waiting a long time for results; electro-magnetism works quickly; generally the first week, frequently : even the first day, their wonderful curative powers are felfc. She has been under one operation at tfce hospital; p.nd learning from foe doctor it was necessary to go back for another, she so dreaded the thoughts of it that she decided to try Microbe Silled, and fic-1 out if ib would do all that is claimed for it. Having tried caaay preparations under medical treatment without getting better, she was doubtful if it would do her good; but, to her great surprise, after a siugie dose she arose next morning trea from headache—a pleasure .'ho had not experienced for 13 months. Her appetite rapidly improved, tbo pains in the back diminished," and all irritations and uupleasantness appear to be leaving; although she has taken only one jar of the Eiiicrobe Killer 6he has ! dispensed with her support without the slightest inconvenience, though the doctors told hsr e'js would always have to wear it. Persons knowing her actual condition before 6ha commenced using your medicine would hardly credit :it po-sible to make such rapid improvement; it I simply worked wondeis in her case, and to all j appearance the effects seem to be permanent. E Sho was also a terrible sufferer from neuralgia lin the head. This, too, is leaving along with I tho other complaints.

MILK is one of the most perfect substances produced in the chemistry of nature, and one which it seems least possible to imitate. Yet in ordinary language there is but so much butter, so much cheese, so much mUk-sugar, and so much ash carried in solution, in nearly nine times their weight of water. Although apparently not to be prepared artificially for human consumption, yet a patentee has succeeded in getting sufficiently close on the track as to deceive even the taste of the calf, and to meet all the young animal's requirements till it is able to dispense with liquid sustenance, and the substitutionary article— Lactina—costs only about one-sixth of the I wholesale price of new milk. Over 1,000,000

calves have been successfully reared on Lactina. It is easy of digestion and assimilation, and carries on the animal through all the stages o£ growth. We have only a limited quantity on hand.
