(Reoeived May 30, at 10.20 a.m.) The tailors who went out on strike have resumed work pending a settlement with the masters, who, it is said, aro willing to make large concessions to tbe men. Ten thousand East End and Jewish tailors strike on Sunday. CONFERENCE OF MINERS. The Miners' Conference sitting at Chester have invited the Australian and American
miners to join an international federation, It has been resolved lo continue the agitation for legislation in favour of eight hours per day. THE PITTSBURG STRIKE. New York, May 30. (Reoe!»ed May 31, al 5 60 p.m.) The strike of cokemen at Scottdale, Pittsburg, has collapsed, and those who went out are in a terribly distressed condition. NON-UNION LABOUR. Brisbane, May 30. (Received May 30, at 10.30 a m.) Fully ICOO non-unionists aro now engaged by the pastoralists. SIR G. GREY IN NEWCASTLE. Newcastle, May 30. (Received May 30, at 10.30 a.m.) Sir George Grey has arrived here. He is announced to address a meeting of coal miners.
