A conference took place to-day between tl ; Education Board and the Teachers' Institute fi r the purpose of discussing a modified scientif ', syllabus for the board's schools. A syll bus, including chemistry as applied to agi culture, physics, and physiology, was agreed ' with the understanding that a modification i the syllabus should be allowed in schools in whi< the average attendance consisted of 100 pupi and under.
