DEATH OF MR G. P. PIEROE.
(Pee United Fbess Association.) Auckland, May 17. Mr G. P. Pierce, general manager of the New Zealand Insurance Company, died suddenly thii afternoon in the Waikomiti Cemetery. No par ticulars are obtainable, Later. Mr George Pierce, general manager of thi New Zealand Insurance Company, died ouddenl; to-day. He went out with Mrs Pierce to Wai komiti by train, and they strolled about thi cemetery for some time. They were walkini back to the train to return to town, when M Fierce moaned and fell dead. The body wa brought to town by train. The cause of cleat is believed to be heart disease. Mr Pierc seemed in good health in the morning, an attended service at St. Sepulchre's Churcl His death is greatly regretted, as he was high! esteemed.
